    Hi there,

    Please connect to FTP and delete cornerstone folder from wp-content/plugins, next login to your site and visit X addons page to install cornerstone automatically.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply. Now I can login into my WP admin. But, I do not have the X-Addons item in my WP menu. After the update, the parent X-theme stayed corrupted. What should I do?

    Hi there,

    I see X is missing, please follow this link and update X manually via FTP : https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

    Then navigate to child theme’s style.css file and update this line :

    @import url( '../x/framework/css/site/stacks/renew.css' );

    To:

    @import url( '../x/framework/css/dist/site/stacks/renew.css' );

    If you need further assist, provide us with FTP credentials.

    Hope it helps.

    Hello, I got the same problem as before. Tried to update X again via WP admin, got a message that something went wrong. Where is the problem, why is this happening again and again?

    Hi There,

    Either your server has some kind of permission issue that does not allow overwriting a file on your wp installation directory or it was intermittent connection that causing the update process not to proceed, It seems more like the later. Since I am seeing an incomplete x theme folder on your /public_html/wp-content/themes/ directory, please delete that folder.

    And upload a latest version of x theme folder on that directory. You can follow the Manual Updates guide provided here: https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

    I love to go ahead and do this for you, but my connection is not favourable at the moment.

    Let us know how it goes. Cheers!

    Hmm, it really has to be the problem with the connection and the bad luck caused that this problem occured twice during the update on just this simple site. I have several installations of X and the sites are hosted by the same hosting company and none of them ever crushed during update.

    Well, problem solved, thanks.

    Hello, I got the same problem for the third time in a row. Seriously, it cannot be because of the intermittent connection. I need to solve this definitely, cannot deal with this at every update. Help me, please!

    Wordpress UI says, that an error occured during the actualization of X: It was not possible to remove the old theme.
