    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! On the admin dashboard navigate to Addons panel look for the Demo Content column. Choose the Integrity 1 on the drop-down list. (Your site should be validated)

    screenshot

Keep in mind that this will only setup the layout and customizer settings and the Homepage of Integrity 1 Demo on your site. But this will not import the images, it will just add a place-holder images on some of the element for you to replace with your own images.

Hope this shed some lights. Cheers!

    Hi There,

By default, your homepage will be your blog index page. It will display all your post. We can choose to display a static frontpage instead on Settings > Reading > Front Page display: Choose static page. Using a static page, we have total control on how the frontpage will appear. It will depend on what content we will add. We can use Cornerstone to develop and design it. On the other hand, blog index page is controlled by a template. It’s design will depend on which stacks you’re using. You can check this link for different design per stack:https://theme.co/x/demos/

    Hope this helps.

I just changed the theme, i can’t go back to the initial state that i had when i installed the theme… on doing Settings > Reading > Front Page display: Choose static page … i dont see any posts.

I dont know how to use cornerstone, im trying to open it and im stuck with the silly rotating icon for the last 5 mins.. i refresh it and it is still stuck.

Im frustrated, and my blog looks like a mess. Please give me a solution to revert back to the initial state, where the blog posts were bring displayed on the index page.

I want my index page to be full of only posts, my website is just a blog and nothing more.

Please tell me how can i set content layout like this the website mentioned on the private message above
Different categories showing different posts, different sizes of thumbnails.. And i can’t open cornerstone. The link to edit using cornerstone has beautifully vanished from the navbar as well.

    Hi there,

Thanks for updating the thread! You can opt to use a blog page as your home page in the Settings > Reading page instead of a static page. This will automatically pull in the blog page. It will follow the selected stacks’ index styling, though. If you wanted a more magazine type layout, you could try Ethos 1 as you base stack and template.

Regarding your screenshot, I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean. Where are you seeing this exactly? Also, please provide us with login credentials so we can take a closer look. To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

I’d prefer to try myself first, how about you try and give a solution, and if it doesn’t work, i’ll pass on the credentials. My problems (please answer point by point) –

    1.) I can’t open cornerstone. I don’t know where the link is..

2.) and the above screenshot if from Dasboard > Cornerstone link (on the left sidebar of the dashboard) > Home .. here is that screenshot. I dont know where is “Layout”.

3.) I guess this question can be answered when i can access cornerstone. But i want to know how can i give a magazine layout to my “integrity 1” homepage.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

    1. On your wordpress Page list, Cornerstone is available for each page. We can see it’s link when we hover on each page. See attached screenshot. When you click Edit with Cornerstone it will launch Cornerstone editor for that page.

    2. Page layout for each page is available when you click Edit with Cornerstone link for each page.

3.)Yes, correct. Feel free to edit each to achieve the layout you want. By default it’s design will inherit stack design.

    Hope this helps.

im sorry that doesn’t solve anything. Look guys – there obviously is something wrong going on here.

Let’s do the questions again –

1.) All my content is gone. “Nada” is there on the blog when i switch on the x theme. On doing Settings > Reading .. i select a static page or the standard blog option, i don’t see ANYTHING. This was not happening at first, but i just switched between the “static” and the “default” homepage setup and everything is gone. Please provide a fix.

2.) I don’t really to change the blog posts with cornerstone. I want to change the layout of the font-home page in a magazine styled format. The above screenshot you’ve pasted does not help with it. So basically, my question is how to change the frontpage in a magazine style format.

    Thanks

    Point 2 continued –

Just saw the link to the editing the homepage. I click on edit with cornerstone and the damn red and green icon just keeps rotating for eternity.

    Is this a bug?

    Hello There,

    Thanks for the updates!

1] When you do have a static page set as your homepage, the recent blog posts or the blog index will be displayed in your home page. This is the default and you cannot edit it because the blog index is uniquely design according to the stack you are using. This is why you need to create or build a page that will server as your homepage. Now when you set the page as your static page as your front page, the content of this page will display as your homepage and the blog index disappear because the page will now take over.

2] And that will go to point 2. You must design or create your homepage according to what you have in mind. If you want to have a magazine style format, you can make use of the custom headline elements and recent posts elements. You can even throw in and make use of the Essential Grid to display boxes of recent posts items with some effects on it. When you create your homepage in Cornerstone along with the elements and the bundled plugins, anything is possible.

Regretfully, I am assuming that you want something like a page template that when you set it, it will automatically have a magazine style format. There is none in X. You have to create something in Cornerstone and that what’s make it unique.

To resolve the issue with the Cornerstone icons rotating, I recommend that you increase your memory allocated to PHP. To increase it, please edit your wp-config.php file and insert these lines:

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
    define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

You can add it before the line
/*That's all, stop editing! Happy Blogging. */

I would loved to know if this has work for you. Thank you.

1.) The fix does not work for me, even after adding those two lines, the cornerstone icon keeps rotating and does not open anything.

2.) On going to Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Your latest posts … i see NOTHING. Previously when i mentioned this, you dodged the question by the description of how to display the latest posts. But please read this carefully, the latest posts are NOT displayed by this.

It’s been days after buying this theme and i still can’t use it out of the box.
I don’t know what is going on. And i prefer to not give the credentials to the server and solve it myself, so i know how to fix it in the future as well.

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the confusion.

    1. You don’t need to touch Settings > Reading > Front page displays if you wish to make your home page display the latest posts. It should stay as Your latest posts

    2. You can’t edit archive pages wth cornerstone, Blog home page is one of them. It’s the same as the category page, shop home page, search result page and all pages that display listing dynamically. You can’t edit them with cornerstone because content created in cornerstone are static against to blog listing that is dynamic. BUT, there is 3rd party plugin like Essential Grid that will allow you to mix your static page with a dynamic listing, but that isn’t a blog anymore.

    3. The magazine you’re looking is Ethos and not integrity, like this, http://theme.co/x/demo/ethos/1/ and you can even set its layout to masonry (eg. Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Blog > Layout )

    4. What’s more confusing is you’re saying there is no post, but there is no way for us to check it since you didn’t provide a URL of your site. Would you mind providing your site’s URL that has this issue? How many posts should it display, and how many posts that exist?

    Thanks!
