X keeps on showing an item which I have fully deleted from the page, deactivated the plugin and also renamed inside plugin directory, but it is still showing up! I have turned of w3 cache, cleared cache multiple times, opened in a different browser but still x keeps on showing the disabled grid (Amazing Hover Effects)

The problem is occurring in page http://www.tellasia.org/about-us (Section 1 Row 3) (A Media Grid should show up there but all I a getting is the Amaing Hover Effects grid) (don’t be fooled; there’s a functioning Media Grid further down the page in the third Section (named Section 11), but the problem is in Section 1, Row 3.

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Are your trying to remove delete this ([hover id="4331"]) shortcode? It seems the issue is the page is not saving even with the confirmation message. Please deactivate the Sucuri Security plugin in the meantime and see if that resolve the issue.

Also that shortcode is not exactly inside of the 3rd ROW of the 1st section. It seems it was inside on a wild column. Please delete that column together with that shortcode.

It is confirmed that the problem is Cornerstone shows it is saving but it isn’t saving. I disabled Sucuri but same problem. The only plugin I had installed prior to this problem occurring was W3 Cache which I had already disable but i also renamed it. Same problem. Tried Edge instead of Chrome. Same problem – Cornerstone shows that it saves but not saving anything.

Is your website working on your end? It seems to be off on my end.

Is the element coming back also in Cornerstone once you reload it? This type of error is usually related to an html syntax error like a missing </p> or a missin >

website is working fine for me. I edited one page and Cornerstone saved my changes fine. That page was https://www.tellasia.org/sponsor-a-child/

However now I’m trying to edit another page and again Cornerstone is not saving anything. Please help… this new page I’m trying to edit happens to be https://www.tellasia.org/rescue/childrens-homes/ – all I’m trying to do is change link in a button at the top.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing back. Actually you misspelled the URL on the private reply. However it seems you are having some conflict with a plugin. I tried to create a test page for Cornerstone but the button click was not working when tried to click “Edit with Cornerstone”. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

ok I deactivated all plugins, reactivated cornerstone, made a change to the page http://www.tellasia.org/about-us, and still it does not save. It has nothing to do with media grid because I also added a simple bit of text in a text box and that also did not show up even though it said the page saved.

Meanwhile I’ve created a new page, edited other pages etc with no problem so maybe it is an issue with this particular page? This is a very detailed page and I do not want to have to rebuild it from scratch…

now I’m trying to edit other pages (discovered today that lots of my images etc aren’t showing up https so I have to re-insert my images) and other pages also aren’t saving such as the home page http://www.tellasia.org, http://www.tellasia.org/empower etc – I’m going to stop working on it bc I’m wasting my time until Cornerstone works properly… note it says it saves and shows green “bravo” etc but does not actually save. Note also I ALREADY TRIED disabling all plugins and still had same problem.

This is the error that stop Cornerstone from working on this page:https://www.tellasia.org/rescue/childrens-homes/
Cornerstone Render Exception TypeError: $(...).vidbg is not a function(…)

Try disabling Video Background plugin and then clear cache. Check Cornerstone functionality after that. Note that we can add video background on sections. No need to use plugin.

For other errors. please try to reupload your images. It loading via http wherein your site is https.

As noted above I have already tried disabling ALL plugins. Nevertheless I did as you said but still Cornerstone won’t save anything. I have for the time being reenabled the plugin so that the vid bg plays. By the way I had tried to get X native vid bg to work but it would not play properly or dependably hence I had to install the plugin. Once the Cornerstone issue is solved I’d very much like to know how to get X native vid bg to work so I can uninstall the plugin.
