AaronParticipantI’m having trouble saving, both in Customizer and using Cornerstone. There seems to be a conflict between the two. (For example, sometimes Customizer won’t actually save unless Cornerstone is deactivated.) I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins but it didn’t help. Cornerstone also saves sometimes but not always (even though there’s always a save success message). Help!

RahulModeratorHey There,
Please disable all none X related plugins and test again, if it doesn’t help provide us e with FTP credentials in private replay.
Try to add a temporary background pattern and save customizer, next remove it and set your background image then resave customizer.
Thanks!

AaronParticipantHi,
I tried disable all non X plugins, but it didn’t help.
Customizer seems to be saving now. But Cornerstone still will not save.

AaronParticipantAnd now Customizer has stopped saving again! 🙁

FriechModeratorHi There,
I was able to save changes on your customizer and cornerstone page. Is the a specific content that you want to add to customizer/cornerstone that does not save?
Please clarify. Thanks.
July 30, 2016 at 8:57 am #1110132
AaronParticipantFor example, changing the background colour of a section of the homepage in Cornerstone. I hit save, and there’s a success message, but the page hasn’t really saved.

AaronParticipantCustomizer has just stopped saving also (although it saved a few minutes ago). I hit save and publish, the wheel spins, but it doesn’t save.

AaronParticipantAfter changing stacks, Customizer saves again. But Cornerstone still will not save for me.

AaronParticipantAnd Customizer has stopped saving again. It seems random.

LelyModeratorHi There,
Can you go to your WordPress root folder and open the file wp-config.php and add following to increase memory:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );See if this fixed the issue, if not would you mind checking in with your hosting provider and ask to increase memory too on their side?
July 30, 2016 at 11:15 am #1110218
AaronParticipantI increased the memory, but Cornerstone still won’t save.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Since you have installed a caching plugin WP Super Cache and WordFence, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
To better assist you in resolving this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look and fix the issue? This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– FTP Hostname
– FTP Username
– FTP PasswordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for the credentials, I did test both the Cornerstone and Customizer on your dev site http://dev.thecountywomensinstitute.ca/ and both saves my changes.
See the blank section I’ve added on your home page and a comment on the Custom CSS on Customizer. Please clarify on how we can replicate this issue.
Thanks.
