    Hi there,

upon checking your host files, you didn’t put the code I provided in right directory which is /wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/icon, I went ahead and added the file. Now you have comment form on home page.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Christopher,

Thanks for getting back to me. I thought I had put the code in that directory, apologies if I made an error there.

I’m not trying to show comments on my homepage. I’d like comments to show on my blog. This functionality was working perfectly for over year and stopped recently. At the same time, AddThis Share buttons also stopped showing up on my blog and I’d like those to work as well.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best wishes,
    Mel

    Hi Christopher,

Just to clarify – comments are now showing on the homepage but are still not showing on my blog posts. Nor is AddThis showing.

    Thanks!

    Best wishes,
    Mel

    Hi Rue Nel,

Thanks for figuring that out. That’s odd, that setting must have been triggered when I did the troubleshooting as comments were showing up correctly for over a year and yesterday they weren’t showing up on my new post either. I really apppreciate you sorting that out.

The second issue: the AddThis Share buttons are still not working. These were also working perfectly well and stopped working when the comments stopped displaying and seems to be a new Theme issue. I look forward to help with troubleshooting this as well.

    Best wishes,
    Mel

    Hi Mel,

By the time I am checking your site, the AddThis is working. Please check it out in my screenshot:

There could be a plugin conflict or just a caching issue.

    Hi Rue,

How odd, it’s not showing up here and I already tried disabling all plug-ins and emptying my cache.

    Other thoughts?

    Hello Mel,

Thanks for updating in! I have checked the page again and I can see the AddThis icons. Please check my screenshot. http://prntscr.com/dpnffk

I am guessing that your IP has been whitelisted or something. Could you please check the page in other machines? And make sure that you are not logged in with the AddThis account dashboard. Perhaps, you can try using Chrome’s incognito more or private browsing mode.

Please let us know how it goes.
