skandy85ParticipantWhen I click on the “Add Ons” and try to click the grey buttons to “Install” any of the extensions – nothing happens.
The screen just stays there. Nothing loads and nothing comes up when I hover over the icon.
Any thoughts?
I saw a previous thread where someone had the same problem: See thread here
Do I have to add them manually? How do I do that without paying for them?
I thought they came with the theme?
Hope someone can help!
Cheers

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing in!
All of the extensions are included on extensions folder on your X theme package. First, make sure to download full package from themeforest.
Now you can install the plugins manually by uploading theme through Plugins > Add New.
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you.

skandy85ParticipantThanks for the reply.
The only plugin I can see in the folder I downloaded is the Cornerstone plugin…
Any ideas?
Thanks again for your quick response

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for the credentials.
You are using an older version of X theme. Kindly go to your WordPress Dashboard, select Updates option and update your theme to the latest version 4.6.3.
Let us know if this helps!
Thank you.

skandy85ParticipantI went to “Dashboard” – “Updates” and updated the theme but I still can’t click on anything.

skandy85Participant….and the problem remains the same. What should I do?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
It seems that you already figured it out. I could see that everything is up to date. X is already version 4.6.4, Cornerstone 1.3.3 and all other plugins were the latest. We are just glad that you have figured it out a way to correct the said issue.
Best Regards.

skandy85ParticipantBut it is not fixed. I can’t install any of the extensions….
Please help and read the initial post again.
The “Install” button on the extension page does nothing. I have NO extensions installed.
Please help. 🙂

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I did some further investigation. I noticed that you are using PHP version 5.4.36 and WordPress 4.5 requires at least 5.6 (https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/). This could possibly be the cause of the issue. In most cases you cannot update your PHP version yourself and need to contact your host about this. The upgrade process is an easy process and should be something your host can do for you without affecting your website or charging you for it. Here’s a letter you can send to your hosting company:
Dear host, I\'m interested in running the open-source WordPress <https://wordpress.org/> web software and I was wondering if my account supported the following: - PHP 5.6 or greater - MySQL 5.6 or greater - The mod_rewrite Apache module Looking forward to your reply.Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

skandy85ParticipantI have received a reply from my hosting;
“Apologies but it’s not possible for us to make custom PHP changes on the server as this is a shared environment and such changes can affect on other users.
Thank you for understanding.”
Is there any other way to get these extensions working?

RadModeratorHi there,
Which extension you’re trying to install? I did install rev. slider and it works.
Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
It turns out that you are experiencing PHP Max upload issue. This is not a theme nor a plugin issue as max upload size is a server configuration. Please try the methods outlined at http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-increase-the-maximum-file-upload-size-in-wordpress/. If that doesn’t help, please consider asking some assistance from your hosting provider.
Please let us know how it goes.
