anthonymccormickParticipantOk. I’ve been reading through the other existing threads about this all afternoon and can’t seem to find the solution.
I need to install the Church Demo on my site but keep getting the Demo Failed To Finish Importing error.
I’ve contacted my host and have updated the PHP file to allow larger uploads but still, nothing.
I’ve also attempted the cache clearing.
Still, nothing.
What is my next step?

ADKGamersParticipantI’m getting this as well. I was actually getting it about 2 weeks ago and figured it was something communicating between servers. But I went to install again today and this is happening.
The theme I’m trying to install is ‘Agency’.
Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! please contact your hosting support and confirm the following.
– Ensure my site can reach this domain: community.theme.co – Ensure cURL is working, and allow_url_fopen is enabled.Especially the PHP cURL as that is the common one that cause this issue.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!

anthonymccormickParticipantThanks.
After checking with my host (MediaTemple) this is the response I received from them:
Overall curl does work on WordPress Hosting and allow_url_fopen is enabled by default, so those will be fine. As for the site being able to connect to community.theme.co, does the theme provider have any clarification on that? Do they want a DNS record added that references their site?

ADKGamersParticipantMy host is GoDaddy and
Directive Local Value Master Value allow_url_fopen On OnAnd I installed it on another instance in the not too distant past, and it installed fine but not happening now. It appears to download one image and then stops from there. Also was told that the server did connect and was able to do a DNS lookup as well.

RadModeratorHi there,
The error is invalid demo name even though demo name is valid. This is commonly due to the internal cache, or transients since demo data are saved through that.
Unfortunately, we can’t clear that internal cache transients since your hosting isn’t allowing it. Is there a way we can clear it?
Thanks!

ADKGamersParticipantFor myself or Anthony?
Thanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
Sorry, it’s for both 🙂
MediaTemple and Godaddy have same transient cleaner restriction. And same error.
Thanks!
