Paul RModeratorHi,
You can change the url of the icons in wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/global/_navbar.php line 43-47
Change #holder with the url of the corresponding social icon.
With regards to your css, there was a missing curly bracket in your css code.
I was able to fix it.
Hope that helps.

angelit03ParticipantThanks! It´s perfect, now I have another doubt, Is there some way to add a text field down the social icons? I want to put a slogan there, I think it will be just adding a bit of code on the _navbar.php file, but I have no idea about php.
Can you help me?
Thank you!

Megan HParticipantThat worked! Thanks for helping me with that step. Now I have activated the child theme and the home screen looks different. Here are two pictures. Also, I’m not sure where/ how to add the Facebook and Instagram links.

Rue NelModeratorHello Megan,
Thanks for updating this thread!
Your screenshots were not uploaded because it exceeds the file size. For the meantime, please make sure that you have added your social profile links for facebook and instagram in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Social. And in your code, you can replace this:
<div class="c-slogan">My slogan </div>into this<div class="c-slogan"><?php x_social_global(); ?></div>to display the social icons.Hope this helps.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
If you have installed a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache, please clear your plugin cache first before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
Hope this helps.

Megan HParticipantThank you, I will deactivate the plugin and check the status of that later.
I am still not seeing any social media links or icons on my page. Is there anything further I should do to activate them on my website?
Thanks

Where can I find this code? Can you please give me the steps. Thank you.
I looked in my _navbar.php file and couldn’t find codes with “slogan” in it.

ZeshanMemberHi Megan,
I’ve tried to open your site but it’s not loading at my end. Please confirm the URL.
Thank you!

Megan HParticipantThat is it. It must not be loading under the child theme. Should I return it back to the main theme?
