Rows in editor no longer being highlighted

I noticed this yesterday. When you click on a row or element in the X Pro Cornerstone editor, it no longer shows you which row it is in the left-hand-side layout editor. Also, if you use the layout editor and click on a section, it no longer takes you to that preview section on the website.
The only way I can tell which row it is, is by duplicating the row and seeing which one on the page duplicates. This is so frustrating!!!
Someone else has mentioned this a few days ago in another comment, however, this comment is in the middle of another topic and gets easily lost, They said “when i select a row in the left layout editor it is not being highlighted on the page. so now i must guess what i selected?”. I also can’t use the new text elements as the default fonts are completely wrong - NOT inline with the default website fonts and sizes I am using across the whole website. I have a lot of other issues and concerns that I have listed in other posts - and others that I haven’t listed.

I’m not sure what the X Theme team is doing. It seems the X Theme and X Pro is broken. I am a long time user of the X Theme and would normally rate it 5 Stars and tell everyone else to use it. Now I Can’t recommend it to anyone - its now too complicated and too broken to recommend.

@Innovatek that was me :slight_smile: and yes things are broken in many places in pro. on the one hand i am glad that i am not alone in my struggles, on the other hand it is beyond frustrating.
meanwhile the highlighting of the row in the content area works again. by magic…

There’s currently an issue where the specific details are missing. I’ve already posted this to our issue tracker so our development team could be made aware once they go through the list of issues.

I’m not sure about what you’re issue is so I recorded two scenarios. Please give us more details if I’m not correct.

This does not happen in my test site so it sounds like something is conflicting with this feature on your end.

Can you give us screenshots of your Global font setup and your Text element setup so we could try replicating?

We’re sorry about the issues you’re facing. But, this was a major update and our management has reached out in various channels regarding this and one of the message was, keep a backup of your site so you can revert to it if you don’t like the update and test the update in a staging server. Also, not every issue comes from X, Cornerstone and Pro itself but mostly caused by third party conflicts like caching and other plugins. With that said, I recommend you try the following also:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php
