Recent posts- excerpts

Hi,

Is there a way to recreate the following layout using standard theme elements? I can create the three posts in a card-like format, but I don’t see an option to add excerpts from the posts.

Before making any core changes, please setup child theme. You can use following resources to download and setup child theme:

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately that did not work.

I entered the code from that site in my functions.php file, and the ‘recent posts’ area went from this:

Is there another solution I could try?

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Sure - attached in a secure note.

I did remove the child theme, it was causing weird issues in cornerstone. Alot of the elements were out of place.
