Dropdown menu arrow icon becomes square

After updating to latest theme x, my dropdown menu arrow becomes square. See the screenshot. Pls advise.

Thanks for asking.

In this release we have updated font awesome. I would first suggest you to update to the latest version of X Theme 6.2.2 and Cornerstone 3.2.2. After that please clear server and browser cache so that the changes are reflected. For more information, please take a look at following article. Specifically the second FAQ:

same problem here. After the last theme update.
It seems that the previous code

does not work as a link anymore, because something changed in the name of the icons or other in https://fontawesome.com/cheatsheet?from=io.

The other code

works for home icon, but not the unicode code of other icons like facebook I used after &#x

does not work and shows square icon still, I tried different variations like

but nothing

I cannot find yet another way to implement it. Is there another code I could use?

Finally I added a menu image plugin and it works as before
