Blog post - Wordpress vs Cornerstone

Hi there,

Im having some trouble distinguishing how to edit blog post text and fonts.

What I see in the Wordpress post editting tool, and what I see after I post (size of text, bolds, underlines, etc) are not published properly. Could someone assist with this? Below is a link to my blog page.

Thank you,

Hi there,

Please consider that the WordPress standard editor tool does not reflect the font size and that kind of stuff on the front end of the website. It is a tool to make for example a part of the text bold but it will not change for example the font family which is already set in the theme options.

I suggest that you back up your website completely and update the theme to version 6.0.4 and the Cornerstone plugin to version 3.0.4.

Then go to X > Settings and enable the Cornerstone plugin for the posts:

Then you will have the option to add the posts using the Cornerstone. That portion will be available for the single blog posts such as:

For the listing, you need to go to the post editing screen and from top right section click on the Screen Options and enable the Excerpt option. That will bring the excerpt box at the bottom of the screen:

Now whatever you add to that excerpt box will show on the blog listing page as the short description of the blog:

Such as this page: http://epilepsyandmelifestyle.com/blog/

Thank you.

Thank you for the reply!

Im sure this is pretty simple, but could you show me where I can change the font for my blog posts?

Many thanks!

Hi there,

The Theme Options which contain the settings for the font will work for the whole website and not specifically for the blog posts.

But if you use the Cornerstone for your posts then you can use the text element for the single blog posts which you will be able to select the proper font family from the options of the Text element. But you will need to set the fonts beforehand using the Font Manager as described below:

_If you do not use the Cornerstone then you need to add the Font in the Font Manager then get back to us with the name of the font and we will give you proper CSS code which you can add to X > Theme Options > CSS to enforce the fort for the blog pages. You will need to open up a new thread for the follow up.
