Z index question (classic elements)

Hello. I developed the website thumbprintbooks.ca with Pro—but with revisions, the elements have become “classic” rows and columns. With one of the more recent updates to Pro, the settings I had used to have some graphic elements hang part way over another element are no longer working. For example, on the Home page and on the Testimonials page, the gold boxes with quotation (") marks in them (and drop shadows) that are in a row above an image or text box are being clipped by the image or text box. I would like the gold boxes to look like they are on a layer above the other adjacent elements (similar to how the other golf boxes on the page appear). I need your help to resolve this.

Thank you.

Hello Larry,

Thanks for writing in! With the classic rows and columns, you have limited controls over the z-index of the elements. you can force the z-index by adding an inline CSS z-index: 20 !important; in your class row element instead.

It is best that you completely rebuild the section using the new row and column elements. With the new elements, you will have full control from the section, row, column and up to the very last element added in the column.

Best Regards.

Thank you for that helpful solution. I appreciate that the new row and column elements provide more control, plus other features—and an update to the whole website would benefit from those new elements. In the meantime, I appreciate how your team supports the classic elements so that we have time to incorporate the significant changes you’ve made over the past year and a half. I continue to be impressed by the Pro theme and the support you offer. THANK YOU!

Thank you for your feedback, Larry. We’re happy to hear that.
