Youtube videos defaulting to low res on mobile

Hello

I have a number of high res videos on the following page that default to low res playback on mobile

http://bedstuyloveaffair.us/wordpressdemo/2017/09/08/every-rose/

Is there a way to force them to playback in 1080p on mobile? I have tried the suggestion on this page re: appending hd1080 to the url in the embed code but it doesn’t seem to work unless it is somehow conflicting with the rel=0 portion of the code

Attaching my login info in a secure note below

Thanks!

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The addition of: &vq=hd720 or &vq=hd1080 does the trick.
For more details, please check out this Youtube documentation:

Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

Hello

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to make any difference on mobile- which is where the problem is occurring, on desktop it seems to work perfectly. Is there anything else I can to to fix the resolution to HD when viewed on a mobile OS?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Unfortunately, that is something outside of our theme code and depends on the youtube itself. The only way to tell the youtube to play HD is the one my colleague mentioned.

The rest is dependant on the youtube and your internet provider on mobile devices.

Thank you for your understanding.
