YouTube Section Background Video Not Responsive

Good afternoon! I’m trying to set a video as a section background and I’d like it to be hosted by YouTube. When I put the video URL in the source field in Cornerstone, it works fine except that the video isn’t responsive. Depending on the size of the window, the video doesn’t cover the entire section. When the video is self-hosted, I don’t have this problem.

For example, on this page, the video is self-hosted and covers the section no matter what size the viewport is: http://swanson-apts.com

However, on this page, where the video is hosted by YouTube, the video does not cover the section: http://swanson-apts.com/new-home/

How can I cause the YouTube video to cover the section?

Thanks for writing in.

Youtube URL is not an actual video, but a video player. Though, some browser support it and it will automatically apply the video/youtube mime type, but it’s not an official mime type like from here http://help.encoding.com/knowledge-base/article/correct-mime-types-for-serving-video-files/. Hence it’s rendering isn’t something you can just control.

For background video, I recommend using self hosted video, or videos served through CDN.
