"Your Page Contains a No Index Header or Meta Tag"

I’m getting this message when doing an SEO audit of my website, but I have looked and looked and not been able to find where it is or what is causing it. This is on my website’s Home page and I’m definitely not wanting any “no index” tags showing up on this! Would appreciate if someone could take a quick look so I can remove this.

Hello @ConjuringMind,

Thanks for writing to us. It seems that you have set the “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” I would suggest you uncheck the checkbox.

  • Log in to WordPress
  • Go to Settings → Reading
  • Scroll down the page to where it says “Search Engine Visibility”
  • Uncheck the box next to “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”
  • Hit the “Save Changes” button below

Hope it helps
Thanks

Ok, now I feel a bit stupid. I just pushed this site live from a staging environment and forgot to uncheck it from when it was in development (for the last six weeks). Sheesh. I think it was just the way the message read in my SEO plug in (the topic title here) that made it seem like it was something else. I’ve been looking for something in the Pro Builder this whole time, forgetting it could be in the WP settings. Either way, thanks again. You guys are always great it helping people like me!
