You are currently using Original Footers

I can’t switch to Pro headers and footers.

When I click on ‘headers’ the page just reloads. Nothing happends.

Also when I click on button ‘headers’ nothing happends.

Hi There,

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes!

I just deactivated all third party plugins. Problem is still there.

Please check for the following:

  1. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  2. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  4. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  5. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  6. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

If nothing helps, please give us WP admin and FTP access.

Thanks.

  1. just cleared browser cache; problem isn’t solved
  2. what is CDN?
  3. all plugins are deactivated; problem isn’t solved
  4. there is no custom CSS
5.1 Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button. = Done. Problem isn’t solved.

5.2 Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak = Can’t do this. Need to ask hosting provider.
6. Didn’t do this, yet. Also need to contact hosting.

Are 5.2 and 6 really needed for this problem?

Yes, it is important that you do that as that could possibly be the solution. Please do that and if nothing helps, give us WP Admin and FTP access.

Thanks.

I asked my host to change it but it didn’t help. Please also see below images:

Hi,

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

All the best!

Please let me know if you can do it with this. I don’t have FTP, yet. But if you really need it I can ask.

Hi there,

Please provide the username as well, and if possible, the FTP credentials. So we could check what’s causing the fatal error and if possible, to implement some workaround. But we can’t guarantee if we can fix it if it’s related to host configuration.

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry. I just added username.

Will come back to you for FTP credentials.

Hey @djinnie,

I see this error when attempting to go to the Header builder.

That usually is caused by Mod Security blocking cornerstone-endpoint. Please contact your host if they could whitelist it.

Thanks.

Just checked; Mod_security is not active.

Please see secured note for FTP details.

Hi there,

Please check the error on the secure note.

It’s not working since it’s trying to allocate a 729mb ( 792723456 bytes ) and it fails to cause the fatal error. There is nothing in your plugin and the theme only requires at least 128mb allocation. I’m not sure where and what feature is trying to allocate that much of memory. Is there a way we can get some details from your hosting?

For the meantime, please try increasing it to 1000mb just for testing. But it shouldn’t use that much of memory.

Thanks!

Just increased memory to 1000mb but still no success.

What do you mean with ‘Is there a way we can get some details from your hosting’?

Hi There,

What Rad means is to contact your hosting regarding this error:

The site is exceeding 1000MB limit which is pretty unusual, X (with Cornerstone) and/or PRO can run in 128M limit even with a few plugins enable. With that said this could be an issue with the WordPress setup and not on the Theme.

Please contact your host to see if they can help identify the bottleneck.

Thanks,

Thanks. I will contact my host about that.

But for the meantime, this isn’t a solution for my problem, right? As @Rad adviced me to increase the memory to 1000mb but that didn’t solved my problem…

How can I solve this problem that I can’t use header/footer PRO builder?

Thank you.

Hi there,

Actually, the problem is that. The Header/Footer builder does not have enough memory limit to work and it seems that some script is eating up all the memory and do not let the builder run.

You will need to contact your hosting service provider and inform them, they will check their log and see what is causing that much of memory usage.

Thank you.
