Hello, I am using Pro 2.1.5. On this page - https://acmedigitalmarketing.com/seo-case-studies/ I have over 250 words, but yoast premium is only showing 12. I also have my focus keyword used 2 times as a h2 header and Yoast is showing none. Lastly, it states that it is not in the first paragraph, but it is and it is bolded. I’ve cleared my cache, updated everything in the hopes that the new Pro update was going to contain the fix for this.
Hi @karentcrye,
Thanks for reaching out.
There is some improvement for SEO in the recent updates. Though, I’m not sure if this issue is related. I couldn’t gather enough information as I’m not sure if it’s due to cache and your page’s codes are optimized and minified too.
Would you mind providing your admin login credentials in a secure note?
Thanks!
Hi,
Same problem here. Yoast SEO still doesn’t seem to be compatible with PRO. Yoas says the page has no images while I have so many images. Yoast says the text has 0 words!
Hi @spi,
Thanks for writing in.
No updates regarding this issue. In this case, please open a new thread and share us your admin credentials so we could check your setup further.
Don’t forget to set it in a secure note.
Thanks.
Hi @karentcrye,
I can’t find where it displays 12 words, would you mind providing a screenshot? I can also confirm the focus keyword not being detected. I’ll add this to our issue tracker along with words issue once you provide more details about 12 words issue.
Please that this does not affect how search engines see your site, it’s only how SEO Yoast sees it.
Thanks!
Hi Rad,
As mentioned in the last reply, I played with the page and switched the text to the old text builder and it picked it up. Here is another page where the issue is clear - https://acmedigitalmarketing.com/promotional-products-website-redesign/
Yoast shows that there are no outbound links, which there are and that the keyword is not in the first paragraph, which it is. Also, any page that has the new text editor does not show the word count. I can give you examples of other websites I manage that this is occurring as well.
I understand this doesn’t affect how search engines see my site, but I have clients that care about this, and we’ve been told that Themeco was fixing this issue with the last update, so we’ve all been waiting.
Thanks for your help
Hi karentcrye,
I checked the page in question and it does understand the outbound link:
I also remember that I added the X Test page and it was working regarding the total words. It seems that there is a problem regarding the cache on your website and it takes time for the Yoast to understand and detect the case.
I suggest that you always clear the cache and if you use the CloudFlare also its cache,
Thank you.
I use WPRocket and clear the cache continually. It’s not a cache issue. To show you what is going on, I took the “about” page - https://acmedigitalmarketing.com/digital-marketing-agency/ which was showing “green lights” in both Yoast areas with the old text editor, and put all the exact same text in the new text editor. I then cleared the cache. With the old text editor, it showed over 300 words, in the next text editor, it’s showing 25 words. I’m attaching the images.
Also, it’s not the only site I’m having this issue with. This page is showing “0” words - https://towanisom.com/diversity-expert/ It clearly has a significant number of words.
Hey @karentcrye,
I checked this page https://acmedigitalmarketing.com/digital-marketing-agency/ but I didn’t get the same result as you.
But, checking your other pages, I noticed an odd behavior where word count changes when you switch to the Readability tab and go back to Keyword analysis again (see secure note). In this page https://towanisom.com/diversity-expert/, would you mind switching the Readability tab and check if Keyword analysis will refresh? If that does not help, please give us WP admin access also so we could record what’s happening. Or, you could setup a test page for us complete with the replicated issue(s)
Thanks.
I just took a screen shot and am definately not seeing the same results. I cleared the cache and went back and forth between the readabililty tab, etc.
I’ve checked your site again and on the /digital-marketing-agency
page I’m seeing 409 words.
Can you check your browser’s developer tools and see if there are any errors in the console? I’m not sure why we would be getting different results for the same page.
