Yearly Pro License - upgrade X

Hello.

I have several X licenses and a few Pro Licenses. I noticed you’re offering an Unlimited Use License for Pro for $149 /year. If I purchase that one, can I upgrade my existing X licenses and have them all be Pro? I would be able to use this license on an unlimited number of Pro sites right?

Hey There,

With Pro Unlimited you can use Pro on an unlimited amount of sites so you could switch all your X sites to Pro and validate them. Hope that helps!

Thank you Rubin. So I first need to switch all my X sites to Pro, purchase the yearly license and then validate them?

Hey @Jacko_Pinto,

You don’t need to switch them first. Just purchase the yearly unlimited license and then you can install and validate Pro on any WordPress site you have, irrespective of the existing theme.

Thanks very much Matt. Just to be sure, would updating to Pro break or affect my existing X sites?

Hi @Jacko_Pinto,

Technically it should not since X and PRO are cut in the same cloth. However, you need to keep an eye on a few things.

  • The version of your X theme should be close to the latest version of PRO, this means if you have an old version of X, it might break a few minor things that you need to reconfigure.
  • If you have customizations on your X child theme, you need to move those to the Pro child theme, so you need to install a Pro child theme.
  • Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after the switch to make sure that the code/resources from Pro are in use.
