I noticed there is a new X version available but I’m not seeing a button or link to proceed with the the Update in my WP control panel. Is this version fixing many of the problems I’ve seen here in the previous update? and how do I update it?

Please try to going to WP-Admin > X and revoke and re-assign your license.
Regarding your issue, please be more specific but the newer versions cover some bug fixes.
