“XforWooCommerce Product Filter” is a WooCommerce plugin unrelated to X the Theme but they are blaming X for this issue (even though they say it has been tested to be fully compatible).
Diabling all plugins does not fix but switching to TWENTY SEVENTEEN does fix the issue. Once X (regular or child) is activated, the issue comes back.

I can see x-pagination was added multiple times:
XforWooCommerce Product Filter is not included on the bundled plugins thus we cannot say we are compatible. As much as we want to help you here, to fixed this, we need to investigate the third party plugin code which is outside the scope of our support.
Just to give you an idea, on main folder of X theme, you can see woocommerce folder in it. That folder contains the customization of our theme for woocommerce. You may try to remove the content of that folder. Save it somewhere. Check the issue. If the issue is fixed, you may try to add each file back on that folder again one by one. Each time check the issue. Using this process, you can see which part has conflict with the plugin.
If this process will not work, it would be best if you will consult a web developer. Thank you for understanding.
I do fully understand the 3rd party plugin issue and appreciate your response. I was able to fix the issue by turning off Ajax search in the XforWooCommerce Product Filter plugin. For now, that solves the issue (by removing some functionality of the plugin).
