X Theme Template Customizations

I am trying to upload a X theme template/landing page. The main title of the template is in a H1 tag. How do I change to H2 tag.

Also, I get the following error when I try to upload a template with the message:

"The preview could not load due to the iframe response being incomplete. This is most often related to a plugin conflict, or customizations introducing a PHP error:

Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Thanks for writing in.

I have tried checking your site however I could not see any theme X and Cornerstone. Would you mind sharing us your URL.

You could try testing for plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks @nico. I deactivated some plugins and it seems to be working now.

However, the X theme template called the Sales Page has the main title in a h2 tag. How do I change this h2 tag in the template to a h1 tag?

Hi,

Xtheme doesn’t have a template called Sales Page. It could have been added by a third party plugin.

Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

I did not add any third party template and I am asking about templates that came with the theme.

I may have the name wrong as I am not sure what it is called in X theme and just assumed it was sales page as that is what it looks like but it seems to be happening to any of the X templates where the H2 tag shows instead of the H1 for the header.

On another note, the X theme won’t even let me add third party templates anyways so there seems to be an issue there which needs fixing. I have disabled plugins, cleared cache, java etc .

Please test your templates on the X theme yourself and you will see what I mean.

To make things clear, would you mind sharing us the page that you are talking about. Share us the URL of the Sales page.

Here is a short video to show you what I’m seeing where the templates do not load into Cornerstone when I add them even though Cornerstone confirms that they have been uploaded. The search box and drop down still only show the 6 templates that were already there when I first opened the theme: https://cl.ly/rAKT

See here as well where I do searches on the temples I uploaded and which X has confirmed have been uploaded but when I search for them in the search bar, nothing comes up except those same 6 original templates that were already there: https://cl.ly/rBLe

They are a bit slow but please watch the videos until the end so you know what is going on as it is very clear and self explanatory once you watch them.

There is no URL as the templates are not loading. That is the whole point of this support request. Please re-read my messages above.

Basically from the videos above you will see that X has only given me about 6 templates with the theme. When I try to add the other X templates, it says it is uploaded but when I press the dropdown or write in the search bar, those other templates do not show up.

Please advise what is going on.

I am also having intermittent issues of Cornerstone going really slow or not loading to the Cornerstone page builder page.

Please advise and please read the messages I wrote carefully instead of repeating your questions without failing to understand what I am communicating.

To be clear - I am not asking about third party plugins and I have also done previous troubleshooting such as clearing cache, disabling plugins, no new java etc… so please advise.

Hi there,

Looks like this is related to the bug I added to our issue tracker where Starter templates wont completely import nor listed in the builder’s drop-down. I added your thread to our issue tracker (related to this issue).

Unfortunately, there is no temporary fix but to manually create the content in the builder and save it as template, as the import doesn’t fully function as of now.

Thanks for letting me know as I spent hour and hours trying to figure it out.

How do I keep track of this issue in issue tracker?

Does this mean I cannot import any X templates from third parties either? I want to know before I purchase any?

Hey There,

The issue tracker is only visible to our staff. You might nor be able to keep track with it. Please do check our changelog instead as all the changes that took place right after the update cycle will be listed. Here is out changelog: https://theme.co/changelog/

X templates from 3rd parties should not be a problem unless it has the same structure with the starter templates then it will be the same and cannot be imported due to the bug in the starter templates.

Our developers is making every thing they can to resolve this bug. It should be updated in the next update release cycle.
