X theme sidebar with widgets not displaying correctly

Hi My site is wordpress.org using X Theme Ethos. It has been running since 2015. My main side bar (embarrassingly) has been running for a long time without the Ethos style that it was set up to show, I’ve stupidly ignored it. I am a bit of a primitive and still use Wordpress Classic for editing.

I think either I should not be using widgets to create my sidebar or there is some other simple solution. When I go into appearance/widgets the sidebar appears as it should but this is not translated to my site, which is

Breadtag Sagas

Open any blog post and the sidebar appears.

The sidebar appears on single blog posts like on this page: https://www.breadtagsagas.com/investing-in-shares-101-my-experience-1/

What this means is that you have selected NOT to display the sidebar in your blog index. Simply go to Cornerstone > Theme Options > Blog and set the “Layout” to Global.

You may also set the Layout for the Archive pages.

I’ve done what you asked. The Archive pages were already set to global. I don’t know what this actually did perhaps you could explain.

However, that is not my problem. The sidebar (except for signUp which is newly back and not really right). Is meant to display in the same Ethos heading format as my posts. It does momentarily but then defaults to the less than satisfactory result that you see.

This is what I want to correct!

Hi Tony,

If I am not wrong, you are trying to make the sidebar headings similar to the Post headline. If that is the case, you need to add custom CSS code to match the styling. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.
