X theme search results not showing preview text when first search result is a private post

Hi Support,

There is an issue with the x-theme blog search when one of the first results in the search contain a private post. It then displays this message below (See below) for all further search results that are not private.

If you do this search, the first two results are private so the message that’s displayed as the post preview is correct.

however, it’s also showing this Oops message for all further results that are not private posts.

Message:
Oops! You don’t have permission to view this page. If you are an active client, then please email [email protected] and we’ll get this fixed immediately.

How can we fix the search results so that non private posts have the correct preview message in the search results?

Best wishes
Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for writing in.

I’ve been trying it on my installation and I can’t reproduce this, the private post are not appearing from blog index or in search result, unless you’re logged in. And when I do the search while logged it, the private post appears but without that message since I’m logged in.

The only difference that I can see from your site and my installation is the versions, could you try updating your theme and plugins first and test it again?

Thanks!

I Rad, actually I have just realised it’s a membership style plugin called WP Fusion that’s causing the issue. The posts are all public and the first two are restricted to certain infuionsoft tags. We need to direct our question to the plugin vendor.
Apologies for the inconvenience.

Glad you were able to figure it out
