X Theme adding paragraph tag for every new line.
How can I remove that?

Thank you for reaching out to us. This happens on switching between HTML editor and Rich Text editor frequently, the <p> tags are automatically added by WordPress, I’d recommend you to stick with either HTML editor or Rich Text editor only to make sure the tags are not added again.

I checked in my local setup with Text element using HTML editor and no paragraphs tags were added for new lines (see screenshots)

Test if a third party plugin is adding the tags. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
