Hi there,

is there a way to get the short codes to display an specific exert length when adding them to a content area?

For example: https://www.crypto-stats.biz I want to add more functionality to this client’s site, displaying exerts after events take place on the page.

Also, as the code will auto update the blog post’s position, is there a way to make a button that will always point to, for example, blog post 2 (using the offset in the shortcode).

That way I can create pretty clear CTAs for the site to focus attention on the blog.

Any advise is welcome. Thank you.

1. The recent posts shortcode by default does not include excerpt.

To display an excerpt, you can add the code below in your child theme’s functions.php file.

2. With regards to your second query it could only be possible with Custom Code which is outside the scope of support we offer.
