X-Theme or Pro to upgrade an existing site?

We are majorly updating an existing website (on a staging server) that is currently in an obsolete theme and has many links / scripts to our separate secure server to process all transactions. Am not clear if using Pro requires all pages to be developed with a Cornerstone type interface, or can this be done selectively like in X-Theme and Cornerstone? For instance develop a home page and some key landing pages with Pro and leave others plain?

Can I try working with Pro and ‘downgrade’ to X-Theme if Pro turns out to be too fragmented? Our priority is always function before form, so we want to avoid future problems when reorganizing and re-prioritizing existing content, or adding to the existing content, and still keep it simple. I’ve dabbled a little with Pro in the early days but am not too enamored with it yet.

Can you enlighten us, please?

Hi there @lexidev,

Thanks for writing in!

Just like with X and Cornerstone, you can use the page builder in Pro to develop a few pages and then leave others with the native WordPress editor, the whole process should be very similar as the main difference between both Pro and X is Pro has the Header and Footer Builder. But the content builder experience is the same as with Cornerstone.

At the moment there isn’t the option to convert from Pro back to X.

Thanks!
