X-Theme "offline" activation

Hello X-Team,

i’m working with MAMP at the moment.
My question is: is there any problem with activating X while im working in an “offline” environment with MAMP?
Is it still activated when the homepage goes live?

Hey @Luxonauten,

Regretfully, it is not possible to activate offline. You will need to activate it while online then you can go offline once you downloaded an update and/or a bundled plugin which the product validation/activation is used for.

Regarding your second question,

I’m sorry but I don’t fully understand your setup. Will you host your website yourself using your own server / computer? Or, you will migrate to a different host and use a live domain? Please give us full details of your setup and your production plan so we could give you the proper answer.

Right now, until the homepage is finished, its hosted on my computer.
After the work is done, it will be migrated to a live domain.

Hi there,

There is still a way for you to be able to activate the theme locally.

Instead of using XAMPP or MAMP, try checking out DesktopServer. This will let you install a site locally and it will give you a custom URL which will work for validation.
