X Theme Not not displaying Post button in BuddyPress

Hi newbie here (please go easy),

I’ve installed Buddy Press and X onto a new fresh Word press site. I Only have word fence plugin , buddypress and the x theme (Integrity 1) activated. I have only default settings applied and I have not been messing around with anything else, just unpacked and moved in

I cannot post comments as the (Post update) button seems to be missing.

I hope this a fairly easy fix. I have tested it with wordpress theme Twenty Seventeen and low and behold the button reappears so it must have something to do with the integrity theme?

Any thoughts?

Many Thanks,
Amelia

Hi Amelia,

Thanks for reaching out.

Would you mind providing a screenshot of the post update button? Or is it just the publish button? In that case, please provide your site’s URL and admin login credentials in the secure note.

For the meantime, please deactivate your Gutenberg plugin temporarily as it tends to change the layout of the post editing section in the admin.

Thanks!

With respect to Gutenberg and the “Publish” options…they are not there on mine either. As SEO is better with Gutenberg for images, we have adopted use of it for future articles and pages so cannot disable it.
What are the options when it seems as the Cornerstone Plugin breaks the new Wordpress Save/Update interface?
i.e. - When I need to go back and edit an old page that was previously done in Cornerstone in WP 5 or with the Gutenberg plugin active…there is no option to “Save” or “Update” if I’m making changes to things such as Yoast, Snippets, etc on the main edit page (screenshot)

Hey @rglohre,

You need to click on the Edit with WordPress button to go back to the Gutenberg interface. You’ll get a prompt that you’ll edit the content outside of Cornerstone but during my test, it won’t affect the content or the Cornerstone content will still be there if you’re not going to edit the content but just update the meta options.

I’ll post this in our issue tracker so our development team would be made aware of this case.

Thanks.

Update: I’ve tested the Release Candidate and this issue is fixed. You can test out the RC in a staging site or you can wait for the official release. You can download the RC from your dashboard: https://theme.co/apex/dashboard

Thanks.
