X Theme not being recognized as valid plugin

I installed a new Wordpress Classic site version 6.1.1. When I try to upload the x.zip for th latest version of X theme I get the following:

Installing plugin from uploaded file: x.zip

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

Plugin installation failed.

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that you are trying to upload the Theme file in the Plugin. If that is the case, you need to upload it in Appearance > Themes, not in the plugin.
