X-Theme Ninja Forms Issue

Hi team,

We’re having an issue on our website where some Ninja Forms are not loading at all. We created a staging site, deactivated all plugins but the issue remains. Changing the theme fix the issue.

We contacted the Ninja Forms team and they said that this is an issue with the X-Theme code and recommended us to reach out to the theme support team. So here we are!

This is what they said:
“Themes can improperly enqueue their own custom JavaScript which goes against the WordPress standards that we follow. This will conflict with Ninja Forms. I can see a lot of errors in the JS console. One of these errors is coming form your theme loading custom JS.”

Can you please take a look into this, please?

Yours,

Hi @tjw101,

We are one of the best selling themes in Themeforest and do our best to abide by all the WordPress and Themeforest standards and there are thousands of people use our product with no problem, so we strongly reject the premise us enqueuing custom Javascript code in a way that goes against the standards of WordPress.

We’d appreciate it if you convey the message to the support staff of the third-party plugin.

Now regarding the problem that you are experiencing. The error in question is because there is a problem with the URL that theme wants to get the Javascript file and it usually is caused by a wrong migration of the website. I am going to explain the case in a Secure Note.

Meanwhile, I’d appreciate that you backup the website completely and update the theme to version 7.1.2 as currently, you have an old version of 6.5.5.

Please kindly make sure that after the theme update the Cornerstone plugin should automatically be updated to version 4.1.2. If it is not, please delete the plugin and the theme will automatically install the correct version.

Thank you.

Hi team,

Thanks for looking into that. The issue you mentioned in the secure note happened because I sent a staging site URL. The live site is with the latest versions of the plugin and the issue is still happening! I’m sending the credentials as a secure note.

Hello @tjw101,

Your live site is using Asset CleanUp plugin. It may be serving an old cache version of the code. Please clear your caches and regenerate any minified HTML, JS and CSS file. If possible temporarily deactivate any performance plugin while you are troubleshooting. And please make sure that you have cleared your CDN cache as well as most of your resources were served from a CDN (shared by @Christopher in the secure note).

As with your staging url, Cornerstone is not installed or active. Please have it installed by going to X > Validation and wait for a few moments while it is being installed in the background. You must then activate Cornerstone plugin because the X theme need most of the features and resources.

Hope this helps.
