X-theme incompatibility with Woocommerce plugin *Conditional Checkout Fields*

Hello

I use X-theme with Woocommerce, and all went fine until I installed the Woocommerce plugin Conditional Checkout Fields

There seems to be some incompatibility between the X-theme and this plugin.
As X-theme is advertised as Woocommerce compatible, and this is an official Woocomerce plugin, I hope you can help.

Issues:

  • I can’t see my Woocommerce orders anymore, if the plugin is active.
    (If the plugin is desactivated, it is fine again.)
    I see the message ’ there has been a critical error’ on the page where I should see the order details.

  • On the Checkout page the theme css gets partially broken.
    Payment options and footer are out of line.

  • There is no .pot translation file and when we upload the Dutch translations from the wordpress directory to /wp-content/languages/plugins nothing changes in the translation, more specifically the word “choose” doesn’t get translated.

Thanks for reaching out.

X is compatible with WooCommerce, but it doesn’t mean that it is compatible with all WooCommerce addons. They are not tested with our themes.
Therefore, we can’t guarantee a fix but we’ll be interested to know why our theme is causing such issues you described if proven. To make sure that is our theme related issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot few common issues:

  1. Theme Related Issue
  2. TESTING FOR PLUGIN CONFLICT
  3. Child Theme Issue

Please let us know how the mentioned plugin works after activating any default theme like TwentyTwenty.
If you find any issues that is related to any 3rd Party plugin(s), I would suggest you contacting the author on that case.
If that does not help you, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.

– WordPress Site URL & Admin URL
– WordPress Admin username / password

Regarding the checkout page issue, can you please share the URL to examine it further, also the .pot files are provided for the default language i.e English, and you need to add your language.
