Hi,
since last X-Theme update I am not able to save changings with Cornerstone.

Hi there,
Cornerstone and X-Theme are both up to date. I can now save again. But now I have a terrible mistake that defaces the whole website: The comment characters in the HTML are all displayed.
And everything that is commented out is displayed.

That must be fixed as soon as possible.
Any ideas?

Hi Tina,

This could happen due to a version mismatch with the CornerStone builder and the X theme you are using. it has been found that you are using the X Theme with the version of 8.0.8 and the current version is 8.0.9, whereas the Cornerstone is updated to the latest version i.e 5.0.9. I would suggest you update the X theme to 8.0.9 and check once again.
I would suggest you follow the below steps while updating to the latest version of the theme.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone
  2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
  3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version

If that does not resolve the issue, I would suggest you troubleshot a few common issues to find the reason behind it.

1.Plugin Conflict
2.Child Theme Related issue
3.CSS/JS Customization
4.Disabling Cache

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
