X Theme Blog Style Same as Site

I use the X theme on my wordpress site, and have the website styled with dark colours and background images. The Blog however does not seem to keep the same style, using instead a plan white background, dark text and no background image. It looks very out of place, especially with the dark title bar at the top.

How can I set the Blog to use the same styles as the rest of the site please.

Hi there,

It could be from the default CSS set to the theme itself that sets the colors of your blog page. However, if you are using the Integrity stack, you can try setting the design option to dark as this might fit your needs. You can find this in X > Launch > Options > Integrity > Design.

If you are using a different stack or the option is not available for you, please provide us with the URL of your site so that we could check and give you suggestions on how you could get started.

Hi

Using the Ethos stack.

Changing the background colour of the side affects the side-bar- but with dark colours the text remains black in the side bar; and the main blog area remains white regardless of what is set. I would like ot have it styled the same as the rest of the site, with background images and light text colours. At the very least, it should be a dark background with light text.

Hi There

Please add the following CSS to Theme Options CSS

.blog .x-root .site,.single-post .x-root .site,.x-sidebar .widget , .x-sidebar .h-widget  {

    background: rgb(0,0,25) !important;
    color: white !important;
}

I ended up having to tweek this a little to get it to work:

/* to support dark themed blog posts */

.blog .x-root .site,.single-post .x-root .site,.x-sidebar .widget , .x-sidebar .h-widget, .entry-title a, .entry-title,  .x-sidebar a, .p-meta span a {

    background: rgb(0,0,25) !important;
    color: lightgrey!important;
}

.entry-header{
	padding: 10px;
}

.x-nav-articles a {
	background: black;
	color: white !important;
	border-color: white !important;
}

.x-sidebar .widget ul li {
	border-top-color: lightgrey;
}

.x-sidebar .h-widget {
	border-color: white !important;
}

.single-post .wp-caption-text {
	color:black !important;
}

Glad you’ve sorted it out and thank you for sharing with us.

Cheers!
