X Theme and Wordpress Log Out Issue

Hi,

At this stage I’m unsure if this is an X-Theme issue, a Wordpress Issue or a Woocommerce Issue but I can not log out after I have logged in (in the front end on the My account page). I get to the ‘are you sure you want to log out page’ then I can’t log out.

I have deactivated all my plugins one by one to see if the issue exists and with all of them deactivated I still cannot log out. The only thing that enables me to log out properly is if I clear history in Safari.

This issue exists for my admin account and also for customer accounts as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Jamie,

First please save a backup of your site. If you could setup a staging site, that would be better for debugging without affecting the live site. Since it is not a plugin conflict, try switching to wordpress default theme. See if the issue still exist even if using another theme. Do this theme switching on staging site. Hi,

I have now done some testing on this, and it appears to be an issue with only one page which is the woocommercce - my account page on my website. I can log out everywhere else there is a log out option, so I have narrowed it down to this specific one.

What would I be required to do in order to fix this?

Hey Jamie,

I can confirm that the logout link is not working in your site. This could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If the issue still exist, it could be coming from WooCommerce plugin and could be a potential blog since it already happen before as described here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/15789

I have actually done the plugin test by deactivating each plugin 1 at a time and reactivating 1 at a time and none of them are causing a conflict. So what would you recommend to do now?

Hi there,

Thank you for the tests. Judging from the tests you have done till now it shows there is a bug or problem of some kind in the Woocommerce itself.

As you changed the theme and the problem is still there and there is no 3rd party plugin conflict, that shows our theme code is not affecting the logout and there is no 3rd party plugin causing the issue.

This leaves that to the Woocommerce plugin itself. You will get a better help if you contact the Woocommerce support regarding this as the problem seems to be initiated there:

Okay thank you for the information. I will contact woocommerce. Weirdly enough, just visited the wooommerce website, and the buttons on their website are redirecting to invalid URLs!!
