X theme 7.0 - Cornerstone 4.0 stuck loading

Hey there,

I am facing an issue with the X theme on my website where cornerstone does not load properly.
As I try to edit one of my pages only the loading screen appears (endless spinning logo).

In the console I see “/cornerstone-endpoint 404” and a warning:
Failed to recover from malformed AJAX response: Response {type: "basic", url: "https://my-site-url/cornerstone-endpoint", redirected: false, status: 404, ok:

This issue is new in version 7.0 and Cornerstone 4.0. Any clue what could be causing this issue?

I was looking through the other topics and it seems that a lot of users face the same issue with the latest release.

Hello Dom,

Thanks for writing in! Did you installed Polylang plugin? Please temporarily deactivate this plugin and edit your page back in Cornerstone again.

Hi,
indeed we do run polylang on our website. Is there any fix for this issue in the making? Due to peak season on our site I do not feel comfortable having to disable one of our main plugins just to edit a site.

We apologize for the inconvenience. This a confirmed bug that was already noted in our issue tracker.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide an ETA when the fix will be release as this is some our developer have to look into.

Hey Jade,

thanks for getting back. As long as it’s been taken up as a confirmed issue that should receive a fix I am happy.
For now I will deactivate polylang while working on the page.
