X-slider element - fade too fast

hi there,
the x-slider element fade is too fast.
to make it more obvious i used black and white paceholder images.
the slider ist still set to 5sec and the slide to 7sec to display.
i think it is obvious that these are not 5 seconds. more like 2.
please have again a look. see the secure note.

Thanks for writing in! I have checked your site and the slider. I have tested it with a stopwatch and the fadein and the delay of the slide is perfect working. It is not 2sec. In my test, I got a 5 seconds recorded in my stop watch. How did I do it the test, I simultaneously click the next slide and my stopwatch button. have tested it several times and I got the same results. The 5 seconds fade animation is working for me.

You might be having a browser caching issue. Please clear all your caches or use private browsing mode and test again.

thanks for testing the issue.
i tried different browsers and some which i have never used for that website.
the fade is always way too fast. and i test with my eyes. the fade is not 5 seconds as you can SEE with the black and white pictures. there is no fading going on over a period of 5 seconds. i know how 5 seconds look for a fade.
is there maybe an issue with the slide duration set to 7sec? is there a rule how long the slide duration in relation to the slide fade should be?

Hey Kai,

I have recorded the animation and found that the first slide fades exactly 5 seconds. Then, around 6 seconds, the 2nd slide fades in and the 1st slide fades out for around 6 seconds. So the Slide Duration is off by 1 second and the Animation Speed (Fade in this case) is longer by 1 second.

Please watch the video below and don’t concentrate at the slide fading. Look at the code changing because that’s how you know the animation works. I’ve already explained that in your previous thread.

As you can see in the video, both Animation Speed and Slide Duration works, only that they’re off by 1 second which you should regretfully take into account. And, the fade animation runs during the whole slide duration so if you slide duration is short, the fade animation would run short too.

That is why Ruenel recommended that you shorten your fade animation. But, you can also try increasing the slide duration and animation speed if you want longer times.

Now if that is not what you see on your end or you see no fading at all, it could be that there’s something in your computer that conflicts with the slider. Regretfully, we have no means to investigate that.

We have tested that the Classic Slider works as you can see your own site in the video. That video is uncut. I’ve only inserted titles to easily show you what happens during the time frame.
