X site code will not validate - cUrl7

Hi there,
I have purchased an X license. When I c/p it in the foreseen area and press enter, I get the “Validating…” screen and then it goes to an error screen saying: “Uh oh, we couldn’t check if this license was valid. Details.”
The details-link only gives me “cUrl error 7:”

Hey There,

This indicates that your hosting provider has not enabled or installed the cURL extension. Please reach out to him and ask to enable it which will resolve this.
