Hi,
Is there any way I can use X shortcodes in blog posts after the last wordpress update? There used to be quick access button for this, but I can’t see it anywhere now.
Thanks!
Beate

Hi Beate,
The option you mentioned is disabled by default in the new version of X and Cornerstone.
To have it enabled, go to X > Settings > Show Legacy Shortcode Generator. Please note that this option is not reccomended. The old shortcode generator does not work for new elements, and is now hidden by default. This setting will bring it back if you wish to continue using it with old elements.

Hope this helps.
Hi, thank you for responding! I actually had this enabled already, but the function disappeared with the latest Wordpress release. Maybe I’m blind and can’t see it, but it seems to be gone?
Hi Beate,
I checked and I still see it from the Wordpress editor. But if you’re looking on cornerstone’s text element editor then yes, it’s never implemented there.
And if you have Gutenberg installed, then yes, it’s not going to work as it’s completely different than the standard Wordpress editor.
Else, please provide your site’s URL and admin login credentials and we’ll check.
Thanks!
