Fresh install (as of today) with no other plugins. Got the header and footer dialed in and am moving onto content, but I’m unable to drag any of the components into the cornerstone editor. I have a few other X Pro sites that I can edit just fine with the same system/browsers (macOS Sierra, Safari, Chrome and Firefox), but for some reason this one site isn’t behaving. Any thoughts?
Confirmed this is due to an off canvas button in the header. When removed, cornerstone returns to normal. Any tips or tricks to allow me to keep that button and retain cornerstone editing ability?
One more followup question: since the javascript in the off canvas element is breaking cornerstone, is there an elegant way to stop that from rendering while editing within cornerstone? The site works fine, just unable to edit anything in cornerstone if that script runs for whatever reason.
Hi there @bangak,
Thanks for writing in!
Just to confirm you’re using the Content Builder within Pro correct? And not Cornerstone as a standalone plugin?
I’ve just tried replicating the issue on my own site without much luck, could you include some WP Admin Login details and a link to the site in a secure note please?
Thanks!
Correct, Content Builder within Pro breaks when Javascript is loaded into the off canvas element in the header builder. Login details to follow in private message.
Hi there,
The javascript generate a content (a form) and place it within the off canvas, there is no way you can control the javascript since it’s not from us, but maybe you can wrap this within a shortcode
<div class="ngp-form" data-id="-2572117237670346752"></div>
Please add this code to your child theme’s functions.php
add_shortcode('cs_builder_exclude', 'cs_builder_exclude');
function cs_builder_exclude ( $atts, $content ) {
if ( isset( $_GET['cornerstone_preview'] ) ) return "";
return do_shortcode($content);
}
Then within your off canvas content, add this
[cs_builder_exclude]<div class="ngp-form" data-id="-2572117237670346752"></div>[/cs_builder_exclude]
Hope this helps
Thanks, updated as suggested but cornerstone is still hanging when I try to edit anything.
edit:
Never mind! Moved the javascript for the form into that section rather than in the header and it works like a charm!
Thank you!
Hi There,
You’re always welcome! Glad this is now working.
Cheers!
