X Pro Header submenu drop down not showing on internal header pages

Hi there,
We have a gorgeous header (Pro header) with image container for home page and submenus set up. I duplicated that menu, removed the container with larger image below it and then added the shorter version to the sites internal pages.
Now I see that the submenu is not working for this header even though it works great on the home page and ideally it’s the same header (duplicate).
Are you able to please tell me what did I mess up? / Help me to resolve so that the submenus will appear on menu hover? Thx so much.

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Upon investigating, it seems that you’re experiencing a plugin conflict. Could you please try disabling your 3rd party plugins and test your page.

Hope that helps.

Hey there thx!

I deactivated all plugins from the site and checked the menu - still the same error was clear with no plugins live on site. checked the menu and seems it was a menu build issue, not a plugin. Was able to fix and get the submenu to show, so that’s fine now.

I have also noticed that we are unable to work with the x pro header whilst toolset is active on the site - to edit the header via pro i need to deactivate toolset. Is there potentially a fix for this please?

Also, we’ve set up an awesome video background on the pro header however when we activate toolset back on the site the video disappears.

We did check that X theme was compatible with this plugin-set before commencing the project with X and figured all would be good but it seems that the plugin isn’t compatible with the pro header function (?) - toolset is a priority go to plugin for us so if it’s not compatible that would really suck as we are midway though the project and use toolset for nearly all of the sites that we create.

Really keen to press on with X Pro and Toolset … so really hope we can crack this one.

Hi,

We have just release a new version of PRO theme.

https://theme.co/changelog/

Can you update to the latest version and see if that fixes the issue.

Don’t forget to create a full back up of your site before updating.

Thanks

I am also having an issue with Toolset. We upgraded to Pro (and the latest release from the 6th) and we are still seeing issues. If we deactivate Toolset CRED, the editor loads - if it is activated we get a conflict. That’s the only plugin that seems to break it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can provide FTP and Wordpress admin access if need be as well…

Hi there,

Yes please :slight_smile:

But please start a new thread regarding this issue and provide your site’s URL and credentials in a secure note.

Thanks!

Toolset is incompatible with your theme, any chance this can be rectified?

We have loaded newest version of Pro and still the issues are ongoing when we have toolset active on site. When we deactivate the toolset plugins, no issues at all. The issue being here that we need toolset for this site and most of our sites.

So it’s quite the conundrum - would love to use Pro, however for now it doesn’t seem likely.

Any chance that there will be a pro fix for toolset users?

Same issue noted on our sites - to back your note up.

A lot of our users use Toolset and they have not reported any issue. Here’s an overview from one user.

The issue you’re facing might come from your Toolset setup. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer or you can contact other users using Toolset.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi thanks Christian,

The issue happens when we have pro and toolset on the site alone, no other plugins. It is happening for all sites that share this combination - each we have tested. Still the same.

This means that we have run testing without any other plugins on site with just X theme Pro and the toolset plugins and still the conflict occurs which is how we narrowed the conflict down.

So not sure how this can be solved… this is the 3rd time we have attempted this combination and failed. Perhaps your other users are not using CRED - this seems to be the issue, also noted by another user above @jferezy

We were able to get around it by adding this to our functions.php in the child theme. Hope this helps until an update comes up. We were able to upgrade Pro and the snippet below seems to have resolved it for now. Let me know if this helps others…

if( ! function_exists( ‘fl_fix_theme_header_footer_action’ ) ) {
add_action( ‘template_redirect’, ‘fl_fix_theme_header_footer_action’, 0 );
function fl_fix_theme_header_footer_action(){
if( ( $priority = has_action( ‘x_late_template_redirect’, ‘x_bars_setup_modules’ ) ) != ‘false’ ) {
remove_action( ‘x_late_template_redirect’, ‘x_bars_setup_modules’, $priority );
add_action( ‘template_redirect’, ‘x_bars_setup_modules’ );
}
}
}

@jferezy

Thanks for the input.

@Chedr

Would you please try the solution provided by @jferezy

Thank you
