X on Production Site & Pro as Trial on Staging Site. How To?

Hi,

I have a licensed version of X on my production site which I have duplicated onto my staging site. I have installed Pro onto the staging site to see if my production site can be converted easily.

I have tried this before and was able to validate the staging Pro licence enabling the use of extensions etc whilst leaving my production X site licence intact. However, when I try to validate the Pro licence for testing I get the message ‘doesn’t appear to be a valid license’. How do I resolve this?

Hi Michael,

You won’t be able to validate a Pro site using an X license and vice versa.

You will need to have a valid Pro license in order to validate a website that is using Pro as the active theme.
