Ive bought the standard X theme. Can i create a similar nav header like the one attached, which sits under a banner and then becomes sticky at top on scroll . Can I do this without Pro?
Hello Allt,
Thanks for writing in!
Yes, in X Theme you can replicate the layout. Please do following:
- Under X > Validation > Extensions install and activate Revolution Slider plugin.
- After that you create the Slider and add banner image in the same.
- Navigate under X > Theme Options > Header > Navbar Position and select Fixed Top.
- Open the page in WordPress editor and scroll down. Under Slider Settings: Above Masthead > Slider select the slider you created.
Here’s a screencast that you can take a look.
Thanks.
HI thanks prasnat for the banner info. Its more the navigation bar im having problems with in regards to determining what element to use in the stack to create this behaviour. Like the sceenshot I want the nav bar under the banner and make it sticky when a user scrolls up the page, what element would i use? Inline navigation element ??
Hello @allt2020,
For that, you will have to do what @Prasant suggested. Once you have set the slider, the next thing you need to do it to have the navigation area display below the slider where it will still be visible on the screen.
To do that, edit your slider settings then find the Increase/Decrease Fullscreen Height (Optional) setting and set .masthead
to the field.
Hope this helps.
Ok thanks, I managed to work it out. I guess those nice menu details pictured in the X theme screenshot within this thread are not available? Those nice fine line indents\shading which break up the nav elements. I assumed the website advertising X was created with the X template but I realise now thats probably not the case?
Hi @allt2020,
It’s not available from the demos but that menu is created with the same theme, only it has custom CSS to achieve that kind of division between menu items. The sales page is not a demo, but it shows that it’s possible and the only limitation is one’s creativity
Unfortunately, we can’t provide customization here in the forum.
Thanks!
