X.instagramfollowbutton.com js and other JS causing issues

Hi,

When I check my website speed and performance, I keep getting this flagged up. In Chrome console I get this:

GET https://x.instagramfollowbutton.com/follow.js net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

What is this? I’m checking page https://followtheboat.com/ftbmates and I do not call anything relating to Instagram.

I’m also noticing unnecessary JS being loaded on the same page. Here’s a screengrab from Lighthouse Treemap. How is it possible to minise unnecessary JS being loaded?

I checked your site it seems that you are using this plugin “Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed” for your Instagram feed. It might be the issue of 3rd party plugin. I would suggest you temporarily deactivate the plugin and then check it again. I would also suggest you troubleshot a few common issues with our troubleshooting guide.
