X how to split footer menu into two columns without pro

Hello,
I need some information on how to split the footer menu. Adding menu3 (besides the top menu it´s the second in the footer) is done but I need some hints how to “build” this additional menu into the footer.

Found this info https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/move-footer-content-below-footer-menu/15985/2 but it´s not what I need I suppose.

Website is locally staged, so no link available.

Any hints are welcome.

  1. For the first image, you can do it using footer widget.
    Go to theme option -> Footer and make the footer of two column.

Then two separate menus, from Appearance -> Menu and add items you want to the menus.

Then add those menus in the footer via custom menu widgets.

  1. For the second image, you need custom development, which is out of our theme support scope.

  2. For the third layout, just go to theme option -> Footer and enable the footer menu.

Then create a footer menu in appearance -> menu and assign the menu to the footer.

Thansk for the answer.

Unluckily this ist not quite the answer I hoped for. Maybe I didn´t work out my point correctly.
A solution via widget areas was what I tried before. Sorry for not telling you.

Instead i prefer to have the menus in the bottom footer. I know it needs additional entries in a file (maybe colophon.php?) or another function call? Child theme is active already.

If not out of your support scope I would appreciate any hints. Thanks again.

HI There,

That is not a featured offered by X.

It could be easily achieved with PRO instead.

You can update your theme from X to pro on your license page from your Apex account.

If you have purchased X before the release of PRO you are entitled to a free update while if you have purchased the license after you can pay the price difference.

PRO offers the hability to build the layout you are looking for.
