X Cornerstone 'failed to save"

Was working on a site all day yesterday, no issues. This morning I woke up to “UH OH! failed to save.” cleared browser and wp cache, set WP memory to 512MB, disabled a bunch of plugins (out of ideas at this point, since all plugins are the same as yesterday), also browsed the handful of posts detailing the same error and solutions that have not worked.

I am on the latest version of everything. Did no updates last night. Stumped.

Please help.

Hi @wotpadmin,

Thanks for reaching out.

I checked your two sites, but I’m not sure has this issue. Would you mind providing your admin login credentials in a secure note? And please provide the site’s URL that has this issue.

Thanks!

this is for shirtacus.com

Thank you

Hello @wotpadmin,

Regretfully the given credentials is not working for us.
It seems that the username or email is incorrect.

Please double check. Thanks.

please try again. just fixed it

Hello @wotpadmin,

I was able to logged in and check your site. There is a fatal error as soon as you save the page. This could be because of your server configuration. Please make sure that you are using at least PHP 7.2 and that you have meet the requirements to run WordPress. You can check out the settings here: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

And please adjust your PHP time out limit to at least 300ms. You currently have 30s only. You may need to ask further assistance from your hosting provider regarding all this settings.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Ok, Changed PHP version to 7.2
Changed time out limit to 300ms
Cleared browser and WP cache

opened up fresh cornerstone tab

Same problem persists.

Hello @wotpadmin,

I have investigated your issue and I found out that there is something corrupted in your homepage. I created a test page and I do not experienced any error while saving the page. Meanwhile, I have save your homepage as a template, created another test page and loaded the homepage copy template. I made some changes into it and hit the saved button. In this another test page, I encounter the same error as your homepage. I am guessing somewhere in those sections lies an invalid entry or corrupted format which looking for it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. I would highly recommend that you create another homepage from scratch because this is the quickest way you can build your homepage.

Hope this helps.

ok,

probably the needle came from the ethos-2 demo from which this homepage was built. know better than that now.

Thanks!

You’re most welcome!
