X Button triggering convertkit modal

Hi, i successfully implemented a convertkit modal triggered by a button link.

<a rel="ck_modal" href="#ck_modal" class="button">Button Text</a>

Now i wanted to use the x theme button (button element in cornerstone) and add ref and href. However it does not work. See screenshot here: https://screencast.com/t/QVY9ep8fd

Can you help what the issue is?

Please take a look on the following video to learn how to use our Addon ConvertPlus / ConvertPlug and launch it from a button in Cornerstone.
