X Button Labels changing when plugin added

So I’ve added a plug in to my site and tue Button Labels changing when plugin added:

When I brought this up to the author (it’s a paid plugin) they very bluntly told me

“Edit button issue in theme not related to our plugin.”

So that should give you some idea about how willing they are to even look a it let alone offer meaningful help.

Here is the plug-ins website:

Now normally I wouldn’t see that as a very big deal but I need to turn this site over to a client that is not well versed with wordpress and who is going to be doing their own basic edits, and have confusing labels is something that I’m trying to avoid.

Is their something you can do to fix this?

Thanks,

John

Hello John,

Thanks for writing in!

I would recommend that you do this first:

  • Temporarily disable the WordPress Google Reviews & Ratings plugin
  • Let X theme be active
  • And check that the X > Submenu is present.

Now, please activate the WordPress Google Reviews & Ratings plugin again.
And this time around, switch your theme with Twenty Nineteen WordPress theme.
And you will see that X > Submenu is no longer present.

I am not sure how we maybe able to resolve what you are trying to do with the submenu in the admin. The submenu is a theme’s very menu for easy access to the theme features and functions.

Thank you.
