X 6.3.6 - Cornerstone - Theme Options editor issue with Chrome Inspect Element

I’m having some trouble in the latest version of X which I suspect is a process or settings issue.

Previously, when I went to “Appearance -> Customise” I was able to configure the global CSS and JS by navigating through the pages I needed to adjust and right-clicking within the preview pane to inspect elements as needed.

With the new version of X, I can see that the Theme Options have been moved to their own page editor outside of the Customise panel, and I am seeing most (if not all) of the controls I’m used to. However, I am finding that, when I’m in the global editor window, if I try clicking or right-clicking anywhere within the preview pane that is associated to a specific page’s content (not header, not footer, but content area), I see a new pop-up modal with the following message:

“Would you like to edit this page? You can safely leave as there are no unsaved changes.”
This has two buttons - a Yes, Proceed (which takes me to the Cornerstone editor for whatever page I was on) and a “No, Go Back” which closes the modal, but each individual attempt to target any element in the page will reopen this pop-up modal.

What I’d really like to do is turn this modal off entirely - if I want to edit a specific page and only that page, I won’t be in the global editor; I’m using the global editor because I want to make CSS changes that will apply to specific elements regardless of what page I’m on.

Is there a way to do this without needing to have two windows, one open on the global editor and one open on an example page with elements I need to style?

Any recommendations would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hello @label-attercopia,

Thanks for asking.

Can you please let me know how you are getting the message as I am unable to replicate the same on my dev setup? It would be better if you can share video screencast or some screenshots showing the step by step on how we can replicate the same.

Please share the screenshots to video recording for us to get a better understanding. Accordingly, we will try out level best to assist you.

Thanks.
