Wrong column layout after update from X-Pro

Hi there

After updating X-Pro, my column layout doesn’t work anymore as it should.

I have created a two column layout in a row. 1st column 10%, 2nd column 65%, which isn’t 100%. Until now the remaining 25% where empty on the right side, as it should be (see attachment):

Since I have updated Pro today, the remaining 25% are gone, so that the 10% and 65% are stretched over the full row, which destroyes my whole layout (see attachment):

Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind Regards,
Felix

Hey Felix,

In the new version, set the Row’s Column Fill to Grow so that it will strictly enforce the column size. The Auto option will fill 100% of the space.

If that doesn’t help, please give us the following info in a Secure Note

  • URL where we could see the issue
  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Hi Christian

Thank you very much for your help and your advise. After this issue happened, I have re-installed the previous version of X-Pro, so my website looked correct again.

With your advise, I updated X-Pro this morning and strangely the issue is gone, even if I didn’t set the Row’s Column Fill to Grow.

So, do you think it’s ok, if I leave the settings on Auto?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi @fbrugger,

What likely happened is that you were on Pro 5.0.7 at first, then the next time around installed Pro 5.0.8 which was published yesterday. We fixed a bug (both in Pro and Cornerstone) that was preventing the grow option from working properly. So the issue you were having just happened to coincide with switching from X to Pro, even though it was a bug both in Cornerstone and Pro. I’m glad to see things are working again on your site!
